Courses at Trinity

You will be signing up for three courses to attend during your stay at Trinity. Some issues to consider:

  • Most courses are in the social sciences and the humanities. We don't have many science courses because it is more challenging to accommodate visitors in these classes. Classes at Trinity are generally quite small. Our goal is to have FISTU students interact with students and faculty in the liberal arts setting.
  • Attendance for these classes is required. If you are not present, the professor will send me (Dr. Noor) a note.
  • If you need to purchase reading material for the class, please consult with Dr. Noor. We will purchase the books from the Trinity University bookstore.
  • You will be expected to complete all reading and written work for the classes.
  • A reminder: please do not use your mobile phone during class.
We are in the process of finalizing the classes, but here are some of the confirmed options. You will receive an email in August asking you to select your top choices. We hope to have a few more options by August.

Political Science: American Politics
Political Science: Contemporary Political Thought
Anthropology: Introduction to Anthropology
International Studies: Modern South Asia
Communications: Mass Media
English: Literature of the Holocaust
History: The African Experience
Religion: The New Testament
Environmental Studies: Introduction to Environmental Studies
Mathematics: Introduction to Modern Math
Theatre: Improvisation
German: Intermediate German (you will be used as conversation partners)
Philosophy: German Philosophy

  1. Dear Ms. Noor

thanks for uploading the list! Is it also possible that we get to know which professor is going to direct which course? That would be great.
    with regards,
    Sania
